Comments: I joined Johnson Matthey Electronics in Spokane long after Bob had left the company. As a young engineer, I got to meet with him many times with other colleagues who knew him well. Bob's ability to simplify complex problems and come up with elegant solution was amazing and an inspiration to me. This ability with his caring attitude and extraordinary wit made me seek his advice on many occasions.
Bob is truly one of the most amazing person I have ever met and he will be missed.

Comments: The Ninth Gate is on TV tonight. He loved that line "Even hell has its heroes, senor." Dad always had such great/strange taste in movies - things that would never win an Oscar, but have more staying power than most mainstream stuff. Remember that bizarre Czech version of Faust, with puppets? I miss you Dad. I miss hearing the phone ring and your voice. I miss you.
