I only met your a dad a couple of times but talked to him many times on the phone, when he would call in the control room to talk to you. Comments: Pete, I am sorry to hear of your dad's passing. By example, your dad brought out the best in the Cominco workforce and many times that example to do your best and make a difference was carried to our home lives. Welcome the many happy memories of your dad's long rich life. It is a threshold we cross losing our parents, I lost my dad last year too. It is quite a gift to see all the people he knew sharing their memories with your family.

Comments: Your father was a good friend and will be missed. I could always count on him when I needed help. I could look across and know if his car was there he would help me.
Know the last few years he has not been doing well and was concerned with the future so now he can be at peace and with your lovely mother. May God give you peace, strength and comfort. Love, Aleen

Comments: Dear Pete, I'm very sorry to hear the news about your father. I lost my own father last year, and even though I knew his health was failing, it was still a shock when he finally passed away. I hope you are OK and are remembering the good times.
You had a really great dad! He gave me great advise from time to time; not just on metallurgy but on dogs as well. I'm enclosing a picture of Tina Faye; I have a great dog in large part because of the advice Bob gave me in getting her to come to me. Tina was abandoned in our neighborhood. She was wondering around for several weeks, no collar, and no one looking for her. Tina was very frightened of people, and no one could get any closer than about 5 feet from her before she would run away. Bob gave me some jerky that he liked to use to encourage dogs to come. He told me, "You might have to toss it to the dog, and it might take a while, but you can throw it closer to you and eventually the dog should come to you." I saw her one day lying in our neighbors yard. I cut the jerky he gave me into little pieces and she stood up to look at what I was doing. I said, "Hey, little dog, I've got something for you!" She came up to me slowly, but she actually took the treat very gently, from my hand. She followed me home, and ever since that day, we've had a wonderful addition to our family.
Bob was inspiring technical matters too. He always thought there was a way forward and had a way of getting the ideas going. I'm going miss asking for his advice.
Sincerely, Janine Kardokus

Ada and I wish to convey our very deepest sympathy on your loss. Altho we only met Robert Trevison a few times and had only a couple of telephone conversations with him we were impressed with his kind and gentle nature, his sense of humor, his great socialabilty, and his intelligence. Your loss is our loss as a part of our overall family. Very truly yours,
Don Blanke, Chuck's father
